A Traditional Recipe
Lasagna is one of the most typical Italian recipes! If you say “LASAGNA” it’s like saying “ITALIAN COUNTRY”!
It’s one of those dishes that brings the family together on Sundays … at least until there were no malls (shopping places) but some heroic families survived by continuing the tradition – 🙂
It is composed of several layers of dough (meaning a mixture of water, flour, and eggs in the classic version). The vegan version does not provide for eggs and is excellent anyway. Between one layer and another one, the condiment is inserted that varies according to the regions and personal tastes. The version with meat includes meat sauce while the vegetarian one has much more imagination with many different recipes.
Usually, the condiment is also provided with the besciamella sauce, (a white sauce made with butter, milk, and flour). In our course, we introduce vegetarian and vegan variations that make it definitely digestible, satisfying and enjoyable!
